The establishment of the New Testament

Jesus, through his death and shed blood, is the Mediator of the New Covenant.

"And because of this he is the mediator of the new testament, this through death, to redeem the transgressions that existed under the first testament, so that those who are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. For where there is a will, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a will takes effect after men are dead: otherwise, while the testator lives, it has no force at all. Therefore neither was the first covenant made without blood." - Heb. 9:15-18.
